Book: It Must Be True Then

Author: Luci Adams

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Daisy Peterson has hit a rough patch. She lost her job after thirteen years, her boyfriend dumped her and her relationship with her sister has hit a dead end.

She takes some time to let everything sink in. She decides to get a job that will be easy enough to hold her over until she can get a job back in her field again. We go on this journey with her and this story does have a lot of flashbacks which can get confusing. Daisy gets a job as a nanny for two children. I loved watching her grow in this job and getting so close to the kids and single father.

I enjoyed this heartwarming story. It took me a minute to grow a liking to Daisy because I found her a bit self-centered in the beginning but I loved her growth. I was rooting for her so much in the end.

Final Score: 4/5
