Thank you so much to the Forever Publishing team and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
I absolutely loved this book! Abby Jimenez is another auto-buy author for me. I have read every one of her books and I am so happy to say that Just for the Summer is another hit. I will be recommending it to everyone!
Justin thinks he has this curse where after every woman he dates, that woman goes on to find her soulmate. It has happened numerous times. He goes to Reddit to explain it all. One day Emma reads it and realizes she has the same curse! Emma then decides to message him and let him know about her curse. This leads to them talking every day. They both thought it would be a good idea to date each other just for the summer to try and break their curse. Emma is a traveling nurse and decides to take a chance and go on an assignment with her best friend Maddy to where Justin lives in Minnesota for a few weeks.
They hit it off immediately. You can see them both starting to fall for each other, more than this little experiment to try and break their curse. Justin’s surveys for their dates were THE best! While they were together they both had some personal things to deal with like an absent mother that turns up in Emma’s life or Justin now having to take full custody of his three siblings. It was an emotional roller coaster of a ride seeing them navigate it all, but I loved every bit of it.
You will fall in love with this book. Emma and Justin are such great main characters. Maddy, Emma’s best friend is the best friend you always hope for. You will get easily invested in their lives.
If you have read Abby’s backlist you will find some easter eggs in this book that you will love!
Just for the Summer is out now!
