The Golden Hotel is a hotel in the Catskills that has been around for decades. It is owned by two families, the Goldman’s and the Weingold’s. They have all been friends for ages.

Sixty years later and the Golden Hotel still stands. However, it has seen much better days. It has become very rundown and not many reservations are being made. There are other more modern hotels that have taken over the area. The families receive an offer from an investor to buy the hotel and this is where the story takes off. With both families coming together to make the decision to keep or sell the hotel.

There are many characters to keep track of in each family which did get confusing at times.

I did find some parts of the story to be rather slow with not much happening but overall it was a good story.

I think anyone who is a fan of Dirty Dancing will love this book.
