This was such a powerful book. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first. I just kept hearing good things about it so I finally dove in. I am so glad I did. It is such a great, powerful, raw story. This is probably the fastest I have ever read a book. I just couldn’t put it down. And I was so proud of the main character Lily in the end. Lily overcomes so much throughout the whole book and I wanted nothing more than for her to get everything she wants in life. I can not wait for the sequel.

Luckily abuse is not something I have had to experience in my life so I had a lot of emotions when going through this book. Lily and her partner Ryle have a good relationship when he is not an abusive piece of trash. You always hear about how someone who is abused can forgive their abuser and if you are like me and are just uneducated on the matter you never understand why. This book helps educate you on why and how that forgiveness can happen. The writing and the story are excellent and you really hit every possible emotion when it comes to Lily and by the end, you are just so proud of her. I really like how this book ended and where all the characters are so personally I am not looking forward to a sequel but I will definitely read it when it comes out.

At the end of this book there is a note from the author. This was the most emotional and heartfelt note from the author I have ever read. It puts a lot in perspective and adds even more to the story.
