The year is a quarter of the way through and just flying by! If you missed out on March’s list be sure to check that one out! This was a good month for me for mostly one game, so let’s get right to it and I will start off with that game!

Clap Hanz Golf (Apple Arcade)

I wish this was an exaggeration, but my screen time tells no lies. I have played this game for 32 hours and counting! I’m still not even close to getting bored of it. Clap Hanz Golf is a mobile version of the Hot Shots Golf (Everybody’s Golf) series. The game plays great with touch controls and looks fantastic. There are a lot of characters to unlock each with their own personalities and strengths. A little unrelated to mobile gaming, but I love this game so much that I am actually thinking about canceling my preorder for Mario Golf coming out in June. This game is worth every penny of the Apple Arcade subscription, definitely check this one out.

MLB Tap Sports Baseball 2021 (Free)

It’s that time of year again, the time to download the new Tap Sports Baseball game. The same game every year with very minimal changes but a game I get addicted to for a couple of months every year. If your familiar with last years game, then you already are familiar with this years. Even though it’s basically the same I still recommend you check it out and battle it out with some friends on the diamond.

Company of Heroes ( $13.99)

Company of Heroes is a game I have some nostalgia for, playing it on the PC many years ago. It’s a WWII real time strategy game. The game lets you use the old PC controls if you want but they rebuilt the controls for touch and it works great. There is a pretty good tutorial to walk you through the new controls and it’s definitely worth a playthrough. Go back in time and check this one out for yourself.

Inside ($6.99)

On the most recent Game Club, we did the game Little Nightmares, I compared the game to Limbo and it made me realize I never played through Playdead’s follow up, Inside. Inside is not a game, it’s an experience. It works great on mobile and after playing through its short campaign, I couldn’t wait to start again. I do not know how I never played this game before, if you are like me and missed out on this one, nows the time to fix that.

Mortal Kombat (Free)

After watching the new Mortal Kombat movie, all I wanted was more Mortal Kombat. Mobile fighting games usually are not great and honestly, this is not an exception to that but it really did scratch the itch of more Mortal Kombat. I had fun tapping and swiping on my screen like a mad man beating up the characters I just saw fighting on my TV screen. There are better Mortal Kombat games available elsewhere but for a free game, this gets the job done. If you watched the movie and want more then be sure to give this one a try.

The Xcloud beta has been rolling out to iOS and I was lucky enough to get an invite. There are many games that have touch controls you can play without a controller. One of those games is a game I have been thinking about buying on iOS. The game is Slay the Spire. It’s available on iOS for $9.99 and after playing it on Xcloud I can recommend that it’s a bargain at $9.99. It’s a fun hybrid of a Rogue like and card battling game that was everything I wanted it to be. If you are on the fence like I was, do it. It’s worth it.
