Witness to Murder is the fourth book in the Colby Agency series, but can be read as a standalone. This is my first book in the series, and I never felt lost. I look forward to reading more in the series. 

Leah’s friend set her up on a date, but there was just one small problem. She sees the bloody body of the man she was waiting for being dragged away. She calls the police, but no body was found, and Leah finds herself to be one of the main suspects. 

Leah visits the Colby Agency to hire a private investigator to assist her in solving the case and clearing her name. That’s where we meet Owen, who becomes not only an investigator but also Leah’s protector and love interest. I loved Owen and how protective he was of Leah. Even when things looked bad for Leah, Owen always believed her and never doubted her story, even a little. 

I really enjoyed the twist in this book. It was one of those twists you see coming, but it changes it up just enough to be fresh. 

I loved this book and look forward to exploring the rest of the series.
