Book Review: When I Kill You
Book: When I Kill You
Author: B.A. Paris
Thank you, NetGalley and Macmillan Audio, for an advanced audio copy.
When I Kill You is a terrific thriller with a cat-and-mouse game. Nell Masters is certain that someone is following her, and her past gives someone a reason to. I loved the suspense with Nell’s stalker. I also really enjoyed that every few chapters were very short, from the killer talking about when he would kill her. It was chilling.
Nell changed her name and is trying to move on from her past, but she is convinced her past is creeping up on her and stalking her every move. I loved seeing both sides of Nell. I saw that she was human and terrified about being stalked, but then she would find courage and act like a badass.
I did find this book hard to figure out, which was a nice breath of fresh air, and by the conclusion, I was surprised and satisfied.
BA Paris is an author I have struggled to get into. I’m so happy I finally got to see what everyone else sees and enjoy this one.
Final score: 4/5
