The Wildest Dreams Bookshop is a book that one paper should be a book I love, but it just did not really resonate with me.
Anna feels her life slipping away. She thinks she has failed her exams and her boyfriend, Max, dumped her, so she goes to Fox Bay to stay and work at her aunt’s bookshop.
I loved the story behind why her aunt started the bookshop. It was such a sad and moving reason. The bookshop is failing, and Anna makes it her mission to get a high-profile book launch and save the store.
While in Fox Bay, she works closely with Jacob, and I loved their interactions. Jacob was a great character and only got better the more we learned about him.
The setting of Fox Bay was the star. It’s a sun-dripped small ocean town that’s easy to picture. The way it’s described makes it sound like a town I would never want to leave.
Final score: 3/5
