This slow-burn romance is a must-read!

The story follows Louisa, who is dealing with a tough break-up. She doesn’t want to get kicked out of the house, so she proposes a plan to the current landlord, Henry, that entails opening a bed and breakfast for other heartbroken people looking to get away. Henry agrees, so Louisa plans to run the bed and breakfast and also help people going through a tough time, even though she is not technically licensed yet to be a therapist.

I loved meeting all the characters that came to stay at the hotel. It gave a great sense of found family. Everyone looked out for one another as if they knew each other their whole life. It was beautiful.

Henry, who went from a supporting character to a main character, had a beautiful and tragic life. I really appreciated how caring he was toward Louisa, while also remaining vigilant. Their love story was great to follow. I really enjoyed watching it evolve.

Lastly, that grand gesture at the end was so picturesque! This is a must-read!

This book was great, but it does touch on some heavy topics that may be difficult for some readers to handle, so definitely check your trigger warnings.

Final Score 5/5
