Book: The Guilty One

Author: Kiersten Modglin

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for an advanced audio copy.

Kiersten Modglin continues to deliver excellent thrillers that are quick and full of excellent charters and twists. The Guilty One kept me on the edge of my seat and I finished it in one sitting. I just had to know what happened.

Celine gets a phone call telling her that her husband Tate was in a fatal car crash and she needs to identify his body. When she looks at pictures to identify the body, he resembles her husband and even has the same tattoo but it’s not him.

The story follows both Celine’s POV and Tates POV from the past and present. As you learn more about Tate’s past more and more doesn’t make sense but in the best way possible. I was so intrigued.

I kept trying to guess what happened to Tate and how his past came back to his present and I thought I had it figured out but was wrong. I never saw this coming.

I can’t wait to read whatever Modglin puts out next.

Final score: 5/5
