Book: The Friend Zone

Abby Jimenez is such a fantastic author. She makes you fall so easily into every story she tells, to the point where you can get so attached to every character. 

The story follows Kristen who has some health issues where she can’t have children. Josh moves to town and works at a fire station with his best friend Brandon. Turns out Kristen is best friends with Sloan who is Brandon’s fiancé and they will be getting married soon. 

The way Josh falls and cares for Kristen is so touching. You see that he truly loves her for who she is and will do anything to keep her safe. The only issue between them is that Josh has mentioned many times that he wants a big family in his future and Kristen knows she can’t give that to him. She continues to push him away which is very hard because she is in love with him as well. 

I love that Josh never gave up on her even with all the times she tried to push him far away. 

The ending was definitely not what I had expected to happen. 

I can’t wait to continue to series to see what what happens next. 

This story touches on some very important topics mostly about infertility.
