The Ex is a good thriller that will keep you engaged from start to finish. It just fails to do anything new or unexpected with its swift story. 

The story starts with a cliffhanger and is then told through two POVs: Willow and Jasmin. Willow has a very odd coincidence, and Jasmine is dealing with a crappy marriage and domestic abuse. 

Both POVs take a very straight trajectory and are predictable. Just because they are predictable doesn’t mean they are bad. Comfort food is predictable. Sometimes we need comfort food in our reading. I enjoyed this book for that reason. I was able to turn off my brain for a little while and escape to a fun thriller.
