I saved this book to kick off my December holiday reading, and it did not disappoint. The Story follows a group of six friends as they travel across Canada by train during the Christmas season to get to their friend’s wedding in Vancouver. The catch is that they haven’t spoken in over five years due to a falling-out between them. The bride-to-be took a chance and invited them to the wedding in hopes of reconciling their friendships. They end up stuck on the train for five days on the way there. It really helped them talk through things in hopes of repairing their friendships.

I found the group of friends to be very relatable. It is hard when you have a falling-out with friends you were very close to. I loved seeing how they were all able to look past their issues and make amends.

I enjoyed this book so much that I didn’t want it to end. It was cozy, emotional, and full of beautiful Canadian scenery. I also loved how each chapter was told from a different friend’s POV—it made the storyline even better.

Final Score 4/5
