My Husband’s Wife is a great thriller that will keep you invested from start to finish. There really is nothing that makes this one stand out, but that doesn’t mean it’s not enjoyable. It was on the easy side to figure out what was going to happen, except for a few details. A bunch of twists are thrown at you all at once, but it’s almost too much, and it loses its impact.
Eva is not really a likable character. She has a lot of baggage and can be a bit much at times. Her husband passed away 5 years ago. She now has a job as a wedding planner, and when one couple comes in, she is convinced the groom-to-be is her dead husband.
There is a perspective switch in this book, which came at a perfect time for me, and it really gave the book a nice refresh. I was feeling some parts were getting drawn out, and then this perspective switch came.
If you like thrillers, you’ll likely enjoy My Husband’s Wife, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
Final Score: 4/5
