Book Review: Ghosted
Book: Ghosted
Author: Sarah Ready
Thank you NetGalley and W.W. Crown for an advanced audio copy.
The first book I read by Sarah Ready was The Space Between and I absolutely loved it. I wanted to check out more by the author and then was lucky enough to get a copy of Ghosted. After now completing two books by the author, I need to go and get everything she has written because this book was an emotional roller coaster I never wanted to get off.
Jillian rents a new apartment in NYC but there is already someone there. A shirtless ghost Daniel who swears he knows Jillian and they are friends, even though Jillian has never seen him before. Jillian is unable to talk to men, which makes her dating life hard. With Daniel, she is able to speak just fine. Jillian’s career is also in a rough patch. Danielle thinks it’s his job to help her both professionally and personally so he can move on. During this Jillian and Daniel start to develop feelings for each other and you as the reader begin to wonder how they can ever be together.
I really liked Jillian and Daniel and the way they both developed through the story. Jillian’s development from being unable to speak to any guy to where she ended up was incredible. I don’t want to talk too much about it and risk any spoilers but I loved every second of her journey. Daniel who is a mystery for both Jillian and the reader was a much stronger character than I was expecting.
I can not wait to see what Sarah Ready does next and I also can not wait to check out some of her past work. Do not wait, pick up Ghosted right away!
