Thank you so much, Berkley Romance, and NetGalley for a free copy!
I loved this book so much! It is such a fun and cozy read. I never wanted to put it down because I kept wanting to know what would happen next on their road trip.
The story follows Zelda Watson, who is a witch who has reformed her powers due to her past. She just wanted to live a normal life, so she picked up and moved to California to start a new life by opening a yoga studio.
One day, a very handsome guy shows up at her doorstep, going by the name of Peter Elliott. We discover that he is a vampire with amnesia, and Zelda’s friend has instructed him to seek her out for help. They go on a road trip together to retrace places that might help Peter’s memory, and I loved it! I enjoyed watching them go from place to place, wondering what would jog his memory, from the bowling alley to the beach.
I also loved the element of romance that sparked between Zelda and Peter. It was a perfect amount of a slow burn that was perfect. It has you rooting for them to get together! If you’re looking for a witchy/vampire book to read this fall, I highly recommend it!
This is book three in Jenna’s “My Vampires” series. I hopped into the series reading this book first, and I didn’t feel lost at all. I believe they can all be read as a standalone. After reading this book, I will definitely be going back and reading the rest of the series!
Final Score: 4/5
