Thank you, NetGalley and Macmillan Audio, for an advanced audio copy.
Forget Me Not is my third book by author Stacy Willingham. She is an auto-read for me, and I look forward to anything she puts out. Forget Me Not was no exception.
This one was a bit of a slow burn, but once it got started, it was a roller coaster. Twenty-two years ago, Claire’s sister, Natalie, disappeared and was presumed dead. Her body was never found, but an arrest was made.
Claire finds herself at Galloway Vineyards, which was where her sister worked for the summer before she went missing. This was where Natalie felt happy, according to Claire, so she wanted to investigate. While there, she finds a journal belonging to a resident of the vineyard. This opens up a crazy and sinister plot that sends Claire into a spiral.
She believes she may have figured out what happened to her sister, but cannot prove it, and doesn’t get help from the local police.
I thought I had this one figured out, but I was mostly wrong. It took me a little while to get into this book, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down.
Final score: 4/5
